Evolving to meet the unique needs of the industry

Berkeley Springs Instruments, LLC, (BSI) has specialized in the design and fabrication of innovative industrial technologies for over 35 years. These technologies include: in-service tank robotics, nuclear power plant control room design, neural network development, remote monitoring systems, and more. BSI and its legacy companies embarked in 1980 and have continually designed and fabricated hundreds of remotely controlled and robotic machines for the inspection of above ground storage tanks, (AST’s) and confined spaces worldwide.

BSI has a strong and globally respected reputation of technical excellence that represents BSI’s foundation. We are expanding into the deployment of multi-parameter sensor networks for the remote monitoring of the mechanical integrity of AST’s, pressure vessels, pipelines and piping components.

BSI understands the end-to-end design of transducer networks with decades of experience in control room and SCADA system interface design, alarm systems and large scale risk assessment analyses. BSI management has participated in world class IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) safety system design committees, remote system controls, complex information management projects and a range of complex human-machine monitoring and control networks from satellites to subsea. BSI serves a broad range of industry’s including energy, petrochemical, electric utilities, pharmaceuticals and municipalities.

Why BSI?

BSI excels in translating the precision and reliability of ultrasound, previously only found in a laboratory setting, into real-world field environments.

Our engineers and scientists are experts in the development of unique, rugged ultrasound sensors and “Smart” probes as well as the design of signal processing software that enhances and preserves data quality.
